Visioning Future through Craft and Design

Kirsti Taiviola’s artwork Pandora’s Box is on show at Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea 13.9. – 22.10.2017. The work is part of the Finnish ”Visioning Future through Craft and Design” -exhibition that highlights Finnish way of renewing everyday aesthetics through unexceptional and courage way of imaging the future through craft and design. It highlights how 31 skillful craft artists’ and designers’ are constructing the future through their work.

The exhibition has been constructed in collaboration with Finnish Designers’ Association Ornamo and Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

The exhibition has been curated from different juried exhibitions organized by Ornamo and Aalto ARTS. It is produced and curated by Designer Inni Pärnänen and Kirsi Niinimäki, Associate Professor in Design in Aalto University.
